Sustainability is a cornerstone of our business and we take everything into consideration to ensure we are adhering to the highest possible standards. We believe business that isn’t good for the planet is bad business.
While we aren’t certified organic, Bikerogreens follows 100% organic practices - we strictly use certified organic seed and grow our microgreens in certified organic coconut coir, typically a waste product that acts as a perfect sterile growing media for our greens.
Bikerogreens strictly delivers via bicycle and uses ultra efficient lighting, climate control, and cold storage on the farm. Hydroponic growing methods ensure we use as little water as possible, and our entire operation is powered with less than draw than your average washer and dryer.
Once our microgreens are harvested, the spent trays are composted and given new life in our home gardens. We package our greens in compostable clamshells and invite customers to let us borrow their reusable packaging for future orders if desired.
